What it measures
A US EPA specification that adds indoor-air-quality construction requirements — moisture control, ventilation, combustion safety, low-emission materials — on top of ENERGY STAR.
Why it matters for a panel envelope
It is the recognised label for a healthy home, and an airtight envelope is a prerequisite for it rather than a risk to it, provided ventilation is designed in.

Listed among the Shield™ specification's references. Guardian states the panels are inert with no off-gassing and that the system delivers low air infiltration.
