How a Shield™ panel is made
Galvanized steel studs are set flush into an expanded polystyrene core on both faces and fastened in the factory under quality control, then each panel is cut and shaped to the shop drawings.

From drawings to delivery
A purchase agreement and a project information sheet start the process; shop drawings follow; panels are manufactured while the foundation is completed and shipped when the site is ready.

What the site must have ready
Foundations and sub-structures must be dimensionally accurate, square, level and plumb, inspected and confirmed as such, with concrete complete and properly cured.

Installing the panels
Panels are placed by hand or with a Lull or Gradall by a rough carpentry or light-gauge steel crew, connected with galvanized angle or track and TEK screws, and can be modified in the field.

Delivery, storage and handling
Unload without compromising structural or thermal integrity, store clean, dry and at least six inches off the ground, protect from weather, and cover roof panels after installation.

Quality assurance and inspection
Guardian is the exclusive fabricator and certifies the third-party components; the installed system is subject to the review, inspection and approval of the authorising building officials.
