Unload without compromising structural or thermal integrity, store clean, dry and at least six inches off the ground, protect from weather, and cover roof panels after installation.
The specification is explicit. Panels should be unloaded and handled so as not to compromise their structural and thermal integrity, and stored in a clean, dry, safe area supported at least six inches above the ground to prevent contact.
All components and accessories are to be protected from corrosion, deformation, deterioration and damage while stored at the job site, and the contractor is to avoid concentrated loads or loading beyond the design criteria during construction.
After installation, roof panels are to be covered so as to protect them from prolonged exposure to weather, and exterior finishes must be completed in a timely manner following installation for the same reason.
