From drawings to delivery
A purchase agreement and a project information sheet start the process; shop drawings follow; panels are manufactured while the foundation is completed and shipped when the site is ready.
Guardian's specification sets out the submittals: a purchase agreement defining the scope of work, and Guardian's own Project Information Sheet. Shop drawings are then produced from them.
Because the panels are engineered and supplied to the construction plans, the design decisions move earlier than they would in stick framing. Openings, services and connections are resolved on the drawings rather than on site.
Manufacture then runs in parallel with the foundation. Panels can be made while the foundation is completed and shipped to site when it is ready, which is where a large part of the schedule saving comes from.
