Standard Test Methods of Conducting Strength Tests of Panels for Building Construction
What it measures
Loads a full-size panel the way a building would: transverse (wind), axial (gravity) and racking (shear). It is the test written for panels rather than for sticks or sheets.
Why it matters for a panel envelope
A structural panel has to be proven as a panel. E72 is the basis on which a panel system claims wind, axial and shear capacity.

Cited in the Shield™ specification's reference standards. Panel capacities are engineer-stamped per project: standard 9-foot walls carry a design wind load of up to 40 psf and a design axial load of 2,250 pounds per lineal foot.
