The Federal Social Security Administration facility in Lakewood, Ohio set out to cut an estimated $8,000 monthly utility bill, to differentiate the developer's proposal, and to reach LEED Silver. High-efficiency windows, doors and HVAC were combined with the Shield™ wall and roof system.

The reported outcome was an 81 percent reduction in the average monthly HVAC bill, to $1,482, based on Energy Wise® certification.
