Industrial and maintenance buildings
Large, simple, hard-working buildings are where a light, fast, well-insulated envelope earns its keep, especially at altitude or in a harsh climate.
An industrial or maintenance building is mostly envelope. There is little interior partition to hide behind, so the wall and roof carry the whole thermal and structural argument.
They are also often remote, where transporting a light panel beats transporting concrete or a heavy structural frame, and where a short erection window matters more than usual.
